The Samshield ShadowGlossy 2.0 Standard Riding Hat is the result of four years of research and development. It has been created to meet the requirements of riders and offers an optimum fit, unprecedented comfort, and optimised airflow while complying with current safety standards and providing high levels of protection in the event of a fall.

Based on the popular Samshield ShadowGlossy Riding Hats, the ShadowGlossy 2.0 is engineered from cutting-edge materials, boasting a polycarbonate exterior which is the material used for elite motorbike helmets, and is covered with a shiny paint for a smart look. The inner shell is made of polystyrene with variable density, providing a better dissipation of the energy produced upon impact.

The ShadowGlossy 2.0 helps to keep the rider's head feeling fresh and cool thanks to its cleverly designed 6-point ventilation system. This system channels air through the hat and around the head to help increase airflow and ensure maximum comfort, even when the competition heats up!

Fastening in place with an innovative integrated chinstrap, the hat stays secure on the wearer's head and can accommodate a range of hairstyles, including a dressage bun. The semi-rigid chinstrap also helps to eliminate the risk of the hat tipping forward during sudden movements.

The internal liner, made of a 'shape memory' type of material, ensures a constant thickness throughout the years of use. This internal liner is easily removable and can simply be clipped in and out as required. This allows the wearer to wash the liner after prolonged use, to keep their head feeling fresh and comfortable. It also means that a replacement can be purchased and used whilst washing (it’s good to have a spare!).

These Samshield 2.0 Hats are available in four shell sizes, which can then be paired with varying-sized liners. This gives the wearer a bespoke and comfortable fit, that can then be adjusted if required. This system is great for younger, growing riders and prolongs the life of the hat.
